Biography

Ximena was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 2003, and from a very young age her inclination for the arts has been very noticeable, not only in the plastic arts, but also in acting. She had a mostly innate training, as well as from a teacher, who had a small academy in a nearby town. Ximena is now an architecture student at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota and spends most of her time painting and creating new ways of seeing objects, the human body, animals and, of course, spaces.

Art is the water that constantly washes us of life's dust.

It was 2003 when I was born in Bogotá on June 14th. I have always loved artistic expression in all forms, and I have dedicated myself to portraying what I see, what I imagine and what I dream, through painting and drawing, always trying to explore different materials, techniques, and forms. to see life. Most of my paintings are done in acrylics, watercolors or oils, yet, you can never miss some good colored pencils.

A very Bogotan-bohemian-Gemini, who studies architecture in the city center has many things to see and to be inspired by every day. All of these are captured on the canvas, in sketchbooks, on paper or even on cerpkins. (You never know when inspiration strikes and sometimes I'd rather draw it than take a photo).
